Multi-tasking

Wednesday I had an appointment to go to a grade school to participate in a Country Day activity. This is where the different farming and agriculture instructors set in classrooms or in the playground and the students are moved from one station to the next. Each instructor has about 20 minutes to tell about their chosen field of employment.
Now, back to multi-tasking. I had to get the materials for the school’s demonstration, and get my equipment (laptop computer, notepad, pens, and directions to get to the meeting to take to the Florida State Beekeepers Association meeting and also load the equipment I would need for pulling honey on my way home. I am scheduled to extract honey with the help of the FFA students at Northview High School in Bratt, FL.
I arrived in Haynes City last night and stayed in a motel about ten miles away from the meeting place. This morning, I found out that I was still early. Even when my wife started telling me three weeks ago that I was trying to go too early, I still managed to get here a day early. That makes me wonder if I am losing it.
This is what makes beekeeping fun and interesting. Now I have to get ready for tomorrow and enjoy the rest of convention starting with a fish fry this evening.
