Nancy, I thought I told you about my website. It is on my business card, unless I gave you an old one. Anyway,I wrote another post today with that information.

Thanks for the reminder.

Hi Peaches! Why didn't you tell me you had a website? I think that is too cool!

Hey, you might want to change your information about FSBA convention being held this year at Florida Farm Bureau, Gainesville Oct 30-Nov 1. On that Thursday, independent of the FSBA meetings, Jamie will be holding, at the same location, the Master Beekeeper Apprentice Course from 7:30am 9pm (just the same way it worked at Bee College...November 1, of course will be another practical beekeeping event. Since this is the fourth one I have done, each different, I am running short of ideas, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Maybe you would like to do a session?

P.S still looking for your jars...

Your bee buddy,

Great post I had a hard time locally finding information on beekeeping. The local book stores had NOTHING on the matter..

I found a book that was actually quite good for free from snipfiles (they give away books that most people sell). I want to share it for all you other beekeepers in training.

Again it’s free - nothing required to download it

Jessica,
Normally, when you have a swarm in a tree, bush, or on the side of your home, if you are not a beekeeper, then you contact a local beekeeper or go through your local emergency agency. Depending on how much time it would take the beekeeper to collect the swarm as to whether you pay him or get the job done for free. If you collect the swarm and put it in a bee box, then you could sell the colony. I hope this helps you.

I have a swarm of honey bees in a tree in my back yard-they have formed an aerial nest. Would anyone be interested in purchasing these bees?

The meeting is open to anyone who is interested in bees, pollination, or just curious. You do need to register. It is usually cheaper to preregister, but you can register at the door when you get there.

For an application, contact Dr. Malcolm Sanford at beeactor@earthlink.net.
